Simmons images show an appreciation of nature and show the beauty that nature can hold. The landscapes he photographs have the feeling of a place within a landscape, natural or urban. He interprets the contour and texture of the objects in his images in a way that shows its deeper, more elemental presence. Through light effects, he creates a haunting, almost magical feeling. The landscapes get a new layer, dimension through light, like there is some ghost haunting the place. He likes to communicate his ideas about sustainability and nature to the world. In 2011 his images were shown on billboards along expressways across America.
I am defenitly a fan of Simmons' work. His images are so strange, intruiging, like they're not of this world. The emotions he can create through a "lifeless" object, by simply using light, is stunning. You should check out his site (which is also beautiful designed): http://www.timsimmons.co.uk/index.php
