Mark Hogencamp's Marwencol is a 1/6th scale WW2 era town. He populated the town with dolls representing his friends and family. He uses Marwencol as a therapy after being beaten into a brain-damaging coma. It helps Mark to recover his hand - eye coordinatioen and deal with the psychic wounds of the attack.
It's strange to see how Mark's homemade therapy is deemed "art" all of a sudden. But as I said before the pictures are so absurd, different and beautiful, they deserve to be in a gallery!!
